Louisa Chinedu-Okeke is a public policy expert and development professional who has implemented initiatives and programmes within Government and international development organisations for over 17 years.

Profile

She has worked on policy initiatives covering power and renewable energy, digital economy, investment, and tax harmonisation among others. She has experience working on policies in the energy sector covering both off-grid and on-grid electricity. She has also participated in both local and international fora on climate change and climate finance.

Louisa was an adviser on Finance to the immediate past Nigeria Vice President. She was also the National Funding Specialist on the REA project - Derisking sustainable off-grid lighting solutions in Nigeria which was funded by the UNDP and GEF. Louisa has led initiatives at KPMG, the World Bank and a DFID-funded programme covering public sector advisory, public financial management and business environment reforms.

Her mission is to improve governance and foster inclusive, sustainable development in Africa. Louisa’s current interests include economic development, finance, energy and policy implementation in developing economies

She has a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Oxford and is a 2018 Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG) Scholar. She is also a fellow of the Associated Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), UK and a certified project manager.
